“…Albumen of vegetable origin is BETTER when cooked…” {May 7, 1903 EJW, PTUK 301.8}
“A Scotchman is launching a new form of vegetarianism in Paris. Its members eat and drink nothing but uncooked vegetable foods and natural liquids.” {June 21, 1894 EJW, PTUK 398.13}
***Notice how in 1894, some Scotchman came up with the raw diet in food and drink. THIS DID NOT COME FROM ADVENTISTS. If this was the diet for us, God would have given Ellen White that counsel in 1863 when he gave her the health message.

Food for the sick should be nutritious, easy of digestion, and free from oily or fatty substances. The following articles should be religiously ab stained from: pork, fats, butter, salted or smoked meats, and in many cases, all kinds of meats, salt fish, and most kinds of fresh fish, lobsters, clams, and oysters, rich gravies, and greasy soups, mustard, pepper, spices of all kinds, vinegar, pickles, RAW VEGETABLES OF ALL KINDS, cheese, rich pastry and puddings, oily nuts, tea, coffee, condiments of every kind, rich preserves, hard boiled eggs, fried eggs, and fried food of all kinds, distilled and fermented liquors of every kind, and whatever else impairs or injures digestion. If the patient is suffering.

Once again, MEDICAL SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT WHICH WAS WRITTEN OVER 100+ YEARS AGO IN THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY...Coarse Vegetables should be cooked and not eaten raw.
Eating raw fruits is good…MEDICAL SCIENCE AND OTHER EXPERTS are now saying we need to be cooking coarse (hard crunchy) vegetables to get the proper nutrients, and raw vegetables steals iodine from the body and the enzyme is not released for proper mineral absorption….so it is BEST to cook them.
