Bell's Palsy

Bell’s Palsy is a condition in which one’s 7th cranial nerve (aka facial nerve) suffers damage or trauma, resulting in muscle weakness or paralysis. The facial nerve is connected to the muscles on one side of the face that control facial expressions, as well as blinking and closing your eye. Additionally, this nerve is responsible for sending signals to the tear duct, saliva glands, and the ear. In most cases, only one side of the face is affected and will only last for a temporary period of time.

Bell's Palsy is also a serious magnesium deficiency, so  include foods high in Magnesium in the diet.

“...Nature will want some assistance to bring things to their proper condition, which may be found in the simplest remedies, especially in the use of nature's own furnished remedies--pure air, and with a precious knowledge of how to breathe; pure water, with a knowledge how to apply it; plenty of sunlight in every room in the house if possible, and with an intelligent knowledge of what advantages are to be gained by its use. All these are powerful in their efficiency, and the patient who has obtained a knowledge of how to eat and dress healthfully may live for comfort, for peace, for health, and will not be prevailed upon to put to his lips drugs, which, in the place of helping nature, paralyzes her powers. If the sick and suffering will do only as well as they know in regard to living out the principles of health reform perseveringly, then they will in nine cases out of ten recover from their ailments.”  {MM 223.4} “

“...They must go to God's great laboratory of nature, and there learn the simplest methods of using the remedies which the Lord has furnished. When drugs are thrown aside, when fermented liquor of all kinds is discarded, when God's remedies--sunshine, pure air, water, and good food--are used, there will be far fewer deaths and a far greater number of cures.”  {16MR 247.1}

NATURAL REMEDIES

Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power--THESE ARE THE TRUE REMEDIES. Every person should have a knowledge of nature's remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge.”  {MH 127.2}

The use of natural remedies requires an amount of care and effort that many are not willing to give. Nature's process of healing and upbuilding is gradual, and to the impatient it seems slow. The surrender of hurtful indulgences requires sacrifice. But in the end it will be found that nature, untrammeled, does her work wisely and well. Those who persevere in obedience to her laws will reap the reward in health of body and health of mind.

Get to the root of the problem firstthen use herbs later.

“The only hope of better things is in the education of the people in right principles...Disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that result from a violation of the laws of health. In case of sickness, the cause should be ascertained. Unhealthful conditions should be changed, wrong habits corrected. Then nature is to be assisted in her effort to expel impurities and to re-establish right conditions in the system.”  {CH 90.1}
