Chiropractic work is not found in our writings and cracking bones is not of God. Both Dr. Kellogg’s speak against the cracking of our bones.
Many ways of healing (colonics, drinking liquid foods, etc.) seemed helpful to many in Sister White's day, but God showed her the drawbacks outweighed the benefits.
Let's just remember the following!!!
“…The methods of treating the sick were plainly revealed to me…” {20MR 373.2}
(All the methods were revealed to the prophet. If it's not in her writings, it's not necessary and is not for us...See EW 124.2 (last sentence)
BY WHOM DID SHE LEARN THIS WORK?
“…The Lord has marked out a way in which his people are to carry forward a work of physical healing…” (MM 14.3)
“...The true medical missionary work, a work that has the great physician to dictate and preside in all it comprehends…” {10MR 314.1}
(Christ is the “Great Physician” See: CD 458.5, and He has laid out the way for us on how to do the work of healing the correct way)
ARE WE TO GO SUNDAY KEEPERS OR TO THE WORLD TO LEARN HOW TO DO ANY OF THIS WORK?
No!!! Read: Early Writings 124.2-3
“The different parties of professed Advent believers have each a little truth, but God has given all these truths to His children who are being prepared for the day of God. He has also given them truths that none of these parties know, neither will they understand. Things which are sealed up to them, the Lord has opened to those who will see and are ready to understand. If God has any new light to communicate, He will let His chosen and beloved understand it, without their going to have their minds enlightened by hearing those who are in darkness and error.” {EW 124.2}
NOTE: If we are not to go to Sunday keepers for light, we are definitely not to go to people of the world? Chiropractic was started in 1895 by a man named DANIEL DAVID PALMER, WHO was into magnetism (something Sister White spoke against) AND SEEMED TO BE INTO SPIRITUALISM.
Not one time do we see the prophet or pioneers support such a practice.
WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR INJURIES?
The alternative method to injuries is not chiropractic, but WATER TREATMENTS. (see document called Water Treatments)
When my good friend was a child, at the oldest hospital in L.A. (it no longer exists) they had whirlpool baths and tubs for those who were injured in like car accidents. Her mom took her on a tour and told her what those whirlpools were for.
We are counseled that we don't appreciate the water treatments as we should. If we went back to that method of healing along with following ALL THE LAWS OF HEALTH, making sure we get enough sunshine, fresh air, exercise, etc., these problems would decrease and eventually go away altogether.
